Like it or not, we have taken millions of acres of farm land and
dedicated them to creating "green fuel". Essentially, we are burning
our food supply. Sadly, the world has the resources and the ability
to easily provide ample amounts of food to the masses but through
regulations and other tactics intended or not, we are not meeting
the need. The average age of the US farmer is now over 60 years old.
Very few people are taking their place. As the older farmers begin
to die off, and they are, who is taking their place? There is a
reason food prices are going up world wide. Food riots have resulted
in the fall of governments in recent years. Starvation is on the
rise. America is not immune.
